Box Hedging (Buxus Sempervirens)
Box Hedging (otherwise known as a buxus hedge) is a slow growing hardy native evergreen hedging plant. The very dense growth habit and small, glossy dark leaves of the box hedge make it ideal for low formal hedging.
Box hedging is suitable to be planted in any soil. The area should be well drained in partial shade
Box hedge will typically grow 4 – 6 inches per year, the recommended height of a hedge can grow to is typically 1.5 to 2 m.
Box hedges should be pruned twice a year, once at the end of May or the beginning of June and the second time late September or the beginning of October
Our box (buxus) hedging are bare root and lifted to order, they are bagged to keep fresh and ready for replanting.
