Poplar (Populus)

Poplar Tree provides outstanding shade in a hurry! Grows 5 – 8 feet. Every year until reaching mature 50 feet in height. Puts out plenty of side branches. Glossy foliage turns golden in fall. Resists cold, pests and disease. Thrives in most soils and climates. There are two main varieties used in shelter belts. Lombardy and TT32. Invasive roots, caution when planting near walls, buildings or pipework.
