Apple ‘Bramley’s Seedling’ (Cooking Apple)
First grown in Nottinghamshire in the early 1800s, ‘Bramley’s Seedling’ remains the undisputed king of British and Irish cooking apples. This historic variety forms a large, vigorous tree that produces heavy crops of giant green apples, often kissed with a soft red flush. Inside, the firm, creamy flesh delivers a sharp, juicy bite with the ideal acidity required for baking, purees, and cider making.
Because it is a triploid variety, Bramley requires two nearby pollination partners from compatible groups to ensure a reliable crop year after year.
