Cotoneaster frigidus Cornubia
A recipient of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, Cotoneaster frigidus ‘Cornubia’ is a vigorous semi-evergreen shrub celebrated for its outstanding winter berry display. It forms a graceful, rounded canopy with elegant arching branches clothed in deep green, glossy foliage. In early summer, the shrub bursts into bloom with fragrant white flowers that act as a magnet for bees and pollinators.
By autumn, these blooms yield vast clusters of vivid crimson berries that hang on the branches into winter, offering vital food for garden birds. Exceptionally hardy and adaptable, ‘Cornubia’ makes a fantastic specimen plant, natural screening hedge, or wildlife-friendly backdrop.
