Berberis Hedges

Berberis Hedges are colourful, hardy, thorny hedges making it very suitable for perimeter hedging. Small flowers appearing in spring, dark berries in autumn is a good choice for a low landscape privacy hedge. Will thrive in full sun and well-drained soil. They are grown for incredible visual features such as their ornamental leaves, beautiful flowers and glossy berries.

A Berberis Hedge is very hardy and can be planted in most soil conditions when planting it should be planted  3 or 4 to a yard for a single row or up to six to the yard in a double row. Berberis hedging is a slow-growing hedge growing 10-12 inches per year, they can grow up to 1m – 1.5 metres in height while keeping a thick busy look.

This hedge is very low maintenance, one the hedge is mature it can be pruned at any time. This hedge is any gardeners friend as it can survive and thrive in even the most challenging of conditions. This hedge can be grown and developed without any limitations or worries. Areas with poor soil quality, lighting or that are in coastal areas pose no threat to this hard hedge. Due to their bushy appearance they also make for a natural bushy feature to your garden.
